The University organises a very personalized induction program for new students for their smooth transition from School life to College Campus. The induction program is mixed with orientation and elements of fun and play. Eminent speakers from the industry deliver talks on important topics like Expectations of Industry from Young Engineers, Importance of Communication &amp; Presentation Skills, Career Options after Graduation etc. Fun outdoor activities focused towards group dynamics are also organized. Through the induction program, University aims to put the students on the right path which leads them towards being able to achieve their aspirations and goals be it campus placement, higher studies or turning entrepreneur.</td>

<p>For better execution of policies during one&rsquo;s professional career, a technocrat is required to come to terms with the realities of life. In a developing nation like India, cities are getting saturated rapidly in many ways and the onus on administrative machinery is to focus on rural areas for development. In this regard, it has become mandatory to know and understand rural life and its demography. Students undergo a compulsory 3 week Rural / Civic and Social Service Internship program at the end of the 1<sup>st</sup> year of engineering. Students are exposed to grassroots realities, in the rural setting, with a focus on participation in interventions by NGOs. This helps in making them understand and appreciate broader contexts of other stakeholders, like government agencies, donors and local self-governance institutions, while participating in existing field projects.</p>
<p>This helps in the holistic development of a student and also makes them aware of the harsh climates and adversities they might be facing on the job. The program enables the students to understand about the rural socioeconomic scenario and also helps them in facing challenging issues in existing systems and suggests possible solutions. It also helps to enhance other skills of students i.e. observation skill, analytical skill, decision making skill, communication skill etc.</p>

<p>Industrial Orientation facilitates understanding about application of basic science and engineering acquired during initial years of curriculum and developing student understanding about the industry operation that will further facilitate their academic learning and research for the subjects to be taught during subsequent years. It is in this reference, students visit various industries across the country with a view to get familiar with Industry Operations. All visits are organized by the University.</p>

<td style="width: 99.5826%;">Engineering studies have two systems contributing side by side to the enhancement of comprehension and study skills. The first is the theoretical systems; conducted primarily in the form of lectures, tutorials and labs, which are accompanied by frequent consultation of various knowledge sources. The second is the practical system, in the form of Industrial and Research Training, during which the students apply theories learnt. Students undergo industrial training in their respective field with a view to make them familiar with industry operations. The ultimate goal of the training is to accelerate integration into professional careers once the student is hired for doing a certain task. An effective training/internship enables the students to prepare for interviews in line with the industry expectations. It also prepares them well to enter the industry at the end of their program and grooms them as per industry standards. This is achieved by exposing to all industrial engineering tasks like design, production, maintenance, services, equipment operations, technology and operational techniques.</td>

Organizing Conclaves, Seminars, Workshops for students, faculties and industry participants while keeping pace with recent trends and technologies makes the participants aware of practices followed in industry and helps them in interacting and networking with stalwarts from industry and academics. This helps in overall development of students.</td>
