<p>School of Management, Pandit Deendayal Energy University presents PRATIBIMB, the most awaited awe-inspiring Annual Fest providing an unparallel platform to emblazon a future leader&rsquo;s diverse aptitudes in the pool of management confronts, athletics, craftsmanship and convivial with a quirky twist.</p>
<p>PRATIBIMB is a mixture of educational, cultural and sports events where participants can showcase their talents on the platform provided by the core committee of School of Management.</p>
<p>The 3 day majestic event was held from 27th-29th January&rsquo;23. It consisted events like:-</p>

<p><span style="color: #a51c30;"><strong>CATALYST (The Management Quest)</strong></span><br />A platform to showcase the management savoir-faire amongst the strivers. A nurturing ground of business and management events concentrating all major domains i.e. Finance, Marketing, Business Analytics, HR and Operations. It is not only limited up to enhancing future potential from leading B-Schools but also cherishes the stage with the adorable presence of adroit leaders in the key industry and professional sectors from all over the India. The various events in CATALYST were &ndash; Charcha, Kalkis of Gen-Z, Fintank and Sociopreneur.</p>

<p><span style="color: #a51c30;"><strong>REPRISE (The Cultural Fest)</strong></span><br />A spectacular aesthetic opportunity which endeavorsto bring forth the inner flair and provides a platform to exhibit finesse in front of audience. From tango to tones to canvas to theatricals, it is for all the virtuosos out there who are receptacle for emotions that come from all over the place: from the sky, from the earth, from a scrap of paper, from a passing shape, from a spider&rsquo;s web. The various events in REPRISE were Managers Got Talent, Squid Game, Treasure Hunt, Flaunt your creativity and Flip it till you make it.</p>

<p><span style="color: #a51c30;"><strong>ENERGY CUP (The Sports Extravaganza)</strong></span><br />A mega sports event featuring fierce competition in different sports viz cricket, football, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, etc. encouraging a participation full of hustle and bustle of budding managers from leading B-Schools as well as corporates across the length and breadth of the country. Champions are made from something they have deep within them i.e; a desire, a dream, a vision. Energy cup fosters the spirit of commitment to excellence, intelligent planning and focused effort to reach the pinnacle of each sport.</p>

<p><span style="color: #a51c30;"><strong>ZEPHYR (The Reunion)</strong></span>The home coming festival of School Of Petroleum Management, Zephyr is the annual alumni meet. All the alumni are cordially invited to take a walk down the corridors of nostalgia at their own alma mater, rejuvenate in the carefree golden memoirs, embrace their buddies and inspire the new SPMites who are taking their legacy forward. The most vital aspect being the revival of our beloved alumni&rsquo;s commitment towards SPM,PDPU celebrated with ecstasy.</p>
<p>All the four events were spread across the three days of Pratibimb managed by Core Committee, the various events were managed by different committees like- The CATAYST was managed by Core Committee, REPRISE was managed by Cultural committee, Energy Cup was managed by Sports Committee and ZEPHYR was managed by the Alumni Relations Committee. In brief the fest proved to be a confluence of knowledge and entertainment , witnessed by enthusiastic participants from as many as &hellip;. B-schools and &hellip; corporates.</p>

<h2><span style="color: #a51c30;"><strong>STUDENT CLUBS</strong></span></h2>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">The School has a variety of student clubs which offer opportunities for peer to peer learning and also helps in understanding an issue/matter from different point of views. Each year&rsquo;s clubs are created and shaped by the interests of the students. Students themselves coordinate and manage the activities and initiatives, both academic andextracurricular. Of each club there are &lsquo;Club Owners&rsquo; who with the unison of the entire batch decides the topic to be discussed in the club.</span></p>

<h2><span style="color: #a51c30;"><strong>CLUB ENERGY</strong></span></h2>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">Energy Club is an initiative by students to add a new flavor, a new theme and to capture the pulse of the campus. It gives an extra edge to understand, learn and share knowledge on a common platform. This translates to enhance the students&rsquo; intellect for their managerial domain from their peers and industry experts.</span></p>

<h2><span style="color: #a51c30;"><strong>CLUB MARCOM</strong></span></h2>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">Club MARCOM is the &ldquo;MARketing&rdquo; and &ldquo;COMmunications&rdquo; club of SPM. In this competitive business scenario, marketing of products and values has become a necessity. The corporate world is run by brands and not just by products/services. Marketing, these days, is as important for business to business (B2B), as it is for the business to customer (B2C) segment. At MARCOM, we understand this and try to awaken the marketer in each of us through various activities such as presentations, Adwise/ Admad - the ad making competitions, jargons, interactive discussions, GD&rsquo;s, book reviews etc. These activities also help in developing the communication skills and &ldquo;out of the box&rdquo; thinking, much needed to survive in the world of marketing. It is here that the students of SPM learn the concepts of marketing in the various segments be it B2B, B2C and C2C; and hence, making the students of SPM practical enough to be challenged anywhere.</span></p>

<h2><span style="color: #a51c30;"><strong>CLUB FINNACLE</strong></span></h2>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">FINNACLE is a knowledge sharing platform which gives opportunity to cope up with the constantly evolving world of Finance. Weekly activities such as Debates, Quizzes, Guest Sessions and Presentations help expand the horizon in the world of Finance. The conceptual clarity is achieved by the interactive discussions among the students. News crunching sessions helps gaining insight to the latest developments in the markets. With this the students are able to withstand the circumstances of the bear market and ace the bull market.</span></p>

<h2><span style="color: #a51c30;"><strong>OPERE-SHONZU</strong></span></h2>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">The objective of operations club is to create awareness among students the techniques used in operations management in various companies. It may be the &ldquo;TOYOTAS&rsquo;s lean manufacturing or WALMART&rsquo;s supply chain management&rdquo;. They also have classroom exercises like quizzes and case studies along with presentations. Guests from different companies from operations background are called and are made to share their real time experiences and give students a composite idea on various aspects of operations like resource planning, machine planning and time management. Inventory management and quality aspects like SIX SIGMA are discussed with live examples in detail which make students aware of application of these tools at grassroots level. The club also focuses on updating students with new operations management tools and software used in the field in various industries to optimize the production process.</span></p>

<h2><span style="color: #a51c30;"><strong>CLUB COGNIVIDS</strong></span></h2>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">It is a well known fact that the human mind understands and retains the most if something is conveyed in the form of &ldquo;audio video&rdquo;, ergo, we have Club Cognivids - The movies/documentaries club of SPM. It is the youngest club of SPM. The objective behind starting this club is to inculcate a documentary culture in the students. Every week, the trailers of three documentaries are shown to the students and a winning entry is decided through polling. This winning entry is then showcased in the club. After the documentary is over, an interactive discussion on the same is conducted. These documentaries help the students to broaden the horizons of their knowledge and develop a better thought process. Once in a while, a movie is also showcased in the club to take some load off from everyone&rsquo;s mind.</span></p>

<h2><span style="color: #a51c30;"><strong>CLUB HR</strong></span></h2>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">The HR club is the youngest club at SPM, hardly a year old. It comprises of HR student members from the junior as well as senior batch to involve all the students and make them think from different perspectives by placing practical illustrations. The HR club started as an initiative to give a boost to the HR activities in the college. The main motive of the HR club is to spearhead activities that could remove the traditional myths surrounding HR as a function and to create awareness regarding the importance of HR function in the current business scenario. It facilitates the functioning of the Centre of Excellence for HR. It provides a platform to the student community to understand and enhance their knowledge in this field by getting associated with the faculty, participating in events and contributing through articles.</span></p>

<h2><span style="color: #a51c30;"><strong>CHAI KI TAPRI PE SESSIONS</strong></span></h2>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">A conversation between a student and a faculty at SPM led to the beginning of this club. The aim of this club is to make the students more aware of the latest happenings in the world and making them more connected to the real world and hence lessening the difference between a SPMite and Graduate from some other B-School. The session includes a class discussion on current affairs, latest trends in the sector and market as a whole etc. The topic to be discussed is decided a week in advance and a very healthy, learning and fruitful discussion takes place. Quite a few sessions have taken place but the knowledge acquired is immense. The session has 2-3 people who will be hosting the event so that it goes in a smooth way.</span></p>

<p>12000 registrations.; 351 teams qualified for the second round; 14 teams out of those 351 qualified as national finalists.</p>

<p>We are proud to share that our student Sourabh S Nair, pursuing MBA in Energy &amp; Infrastructure, batch 2020-22, was awarded by Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited for his innovative idea on Green Hydrogen. He will now be mentored by officials from BHEL in order to take forward the idea, towards execution.</p>
<p>SoM, PDEU congratulates him for his achievement and wishes him all the best for his future endeavours.</p>
