<p>Science &amp; Technical Committee, OSAIL, PDEU had organized Tesseract 8.0 &ndash; The Annual Sci-Tech Fest of PDEU. Committee had planned 50+ Events from 3rd Feb to 5th Feb, 2023 on the theme of &lsquo;Andromeda: From Infinity to Beyond&rsquo;.</p>

<p>This second edition of the symposium &ldquo;Wireless, Antenna and Microwave Symposium (WAMS)&rdquo; will be held at the University during June 07-10, 2023. The symposium will provide an international forum for reporting and sharing recent wireless, antenna, and microwave technologies and applications. WAMS 2023 will consist of workshops, tutorials, plenary lectures, special and poster sessions, technical sessions, and student paper competitions.</p>
<p>The Inaugural Function will be held on June 07 (Wednesday) from 9:00 am onwards in Main Auditorium (B-Block).</p>
<p>Prof. Sunder Manoharan, Honorable Director General, PDEU, and Shri Nilesh M. Desai, Director, SAC-ISRO, agreed to grace the occasion.&nbsp;</p>

Wireless, Antenna & Microwave Symposium (WAMS 2023)

<p>This conference is meant for researchers from academia, industries and R&amp;D organizations from all over the globe whose research is broadly related to Computational Modeling and Sustainable Energy. Some areas covered by the conference, but not limited to, are differential equations, mathematical modelling, simulations, dynamical systems, numerical analysis, fractional differential equations, Fuzzy set and Logic, Sustainable Energy. The conference aims to bring together mathematicians and experts from other diverse fields to deliberate recent progress in Computational Modeling and Sustainable Energy. The conference puts special emphasis on the participation of Ph.D. students, post-doctoral fellows and other young researchers from all over the world. The conference will feature world-class keynote speakers in the theme areas.</p>

 International Conference on Computational Modeling and Sustainable Energy

<p>Department of Physics, Pandit Deendayal Energy University organized the second edition of international conference &ldquo;International Conference on Condensed Matter and Device Physics (ICCMDP-2023) from 27-29 September, 2023.<br />The selected manuscripts will be published possibly in the Journal of Materials Science: Materials in Electronics (Scopus indexed and SCI journal) after a peer review process as per journal norms.<br />The idea of the conference was to provide a platform to young researchers to showcase their expertise and have an opportunity to share their interests to all the stakeholders in the field. &nbsp;In the conference, there were many brainstorming sessions on opportunities in current research scenarios followed by the discussions. Exhibitors were also given space to display the equipment from some sectors of materials science and engineering communities.&nbsp;<br />The ICCMDP-2023 conference was focused on the recent advances in Physics and Materials covering fields from theory and experiment to gain the knowledge of the fundamentals of Science and their applications for the progressions of various technologies.</p>

<p>On 10th July 2024, Pandit Deendayal Energy University, Gandhinagar organized an orientation program for newly admitted B. Tech students within the institute's premises. Over time, the purpose of orientation programs has evolved to include enhanced academic support and resources, aimed at better preparing students.<br />The program was inaugurated with &ldquo;Urja Stuti&rdquo;. Honourable Prof. S. S. Manoharan (Director General of PDEU), Dr. Anirbid Sircar (Director of SoET) and Dr. Dhaval Pujara (Director of SoT) and other dignitaries were present as the chief guest on this occasion.&nbsp;</p>

B. Tech Orientation Program 2024-25

<p>The Department of Mechanical Engineering and IQAC, PDEU jointly will be organizing a 3 Day - Skill Development from 1st to 3rd January 2025, on Micromachining and Vision Inspection. The SDP will be a blend of theory as well practical sessions, which will be followed by hands-on session. The target audience will be research scholars, postgraduate students, and final year undergraduates of PDEU and nearby institutions.</p>

<p>On December 17, 2024, the School of Technology, Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU), Gandhinagar, inaugurated the 39th National Symposium on Plasma Science &amp; Technology 2024 (PLASMA 2024). With over 450 participants, including researchers, academicians, and industry professionals from across India, this prestigious event has brought together some of the brightest minds in the field of Plasma Science.</p>
<p>The inaugural ceremony was graced by the eminent Plasma Science experts including Shri K N Vyas, former Secretary, Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) and Dr. Shashank Chaturvedi, Director, IPR Gandhinagar.</p>

<p>On December 16, 2024, we at the School of Technology, Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU), Gandhinagar, inaugurated the AICTE-ATAL-sponsored Faculty Development Program (FDP) on: "Exploring Transformative Applications of Artificial Intelligence: Innovations in Healthcare, Biomedical Signal, Computer Vision, and Forensics." <p>The rankings for 2023-24 under the Gujarat State Institutional Ranking Framework (GSIRF) were announced on 5th Dec, 2024. The top 16 institutes were felicitated by state higher and technical education minister Rushikesh Patel along with senior education department officials. Four universities &mdash; Gujarat University, Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU), Nirma University, and CEPT University &mdash; received a five-star plus rating, whereas 13 universities received a five-star rating in the exercise by the Knowledge Consortium of Gujarat (KCG) and the Indian Centre for Academic Rankings &amp; Excellence (ICARE).</p>

<p>As part of India Semiconductor Mission (ISM), Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU) on Wednesday received the Semiconductor ATMP Training Facility, which is the first fab or fabrication unit of its kind in Gujarat so far. ATMP stands for assembly, Testing, Marketing, and Packaging of semiconductors.</p>
<p>Experts said it is a joint initiative of PDEU, the department of science and technology of the state government, Micron Technology, and the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and will provide the required human resources for the upcoming semiconductor plants and design labs in Gujarat.</p>
<p>Prof. S. Sundar Manoharan, Director General of PDEU, said this joint initiative intends to provide industry-focused hands-on training in the semiconductor sector and will train more than 1000 personnel over 5 years.</p>
<p>"These experts will be certified by all the stakeholders under the Skill India Mission," he said.</p>

<p>The facility was inaugurated by Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel in the presence of senior representatives from all stakeholders. Experts from PDEU said the three machines are provided and installed by Micron Technology, which will give training on the entire process from chip dicing to training.</p>

State gets first Semiconductor ATMP Training Facility

<p>The three day PDEU Youth Parliament 2025, held from Jan 17 - 19, witnessed solid exchange of ideas as young delegates deliberated on national and global issues. The closing ceremony attended by Dr. Ajay Umat, Group Editor, Ahmedabad Mirror and NavGujarat Samay, marked the successful conclusion of the parliament. Earlier, Jamnagar (North) MLA Rivaba Jadeja and Gandhinagar (North) MLA Rita Patel had inspired delegates by their presence.</p>

<p>SoT was established with the vision of being the leading centre of innovation and learning in the emerging areas of Industry 4.0. It offers B.Tech. in the fields of Civil, Mechanical, Computer, Electronics &amp; Communication Engineering &amp; ICT besides the M.Tech. and Ph.D. Programs in the above areas. It also offers B.Sc.(Hons.), M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Mathematics.&nbsp;</p>
<p><br />SoT has received more than Rs. 200 Crore for Centres of Excellence Projects and 60 ongoing projects being sponsored by government and private entities.&nbsp;</p>
<p><br />The School is contributing to the AatmanirbharBharat Initiatives through its Centers of Excellence, including the recent addition of Metal 3D printing facility dedicated to the nation for research in the Energy, Healthcare, Automotive, and Aerospace Sector. It has other Centres in the areas of Automation, Automobiles and Next Generation Computing (250,000 USD).</p>
