Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU) announced the commencement of its School of Law, (BCI Approved) starting from the Academic Year 2025-26. This strategic expansion reflects the university&rsquo;s commitment to academic excellence and its vision to nurture future leaders in the field of law and justice.

The university will offer the following programs under the new School of Law:

Law Admissions 2026

Pandit Deendayal Energy University was honoured to host a distinguished delegation from DGH, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India. We were privileged by the visit of Shri Akash Goyal, Additional Director General (Finance &amp; Governance), and Dr. Kaustav nag, Additional Director General (Exploration), who interacted with the esteemed faculty members of the Department of Petroleum Engineering.
The interaction provided a valuable platform for discussions on upstream energy challenges, exploration strategies, governance perspectives, and the role of academia in supporting India's hydrocarbon resource development.&nbsp;
The visit was further enriched by the gracious presence and leadership of Dr. S. Sundar Manoharan, Director General, PDEU, Prof. Anirbid Sircar, Director, School of Technology, Prof. Rajesh Patel, Director, School of Energy Technology, Prof. Bhawanisingh Desai, Dean - Research &amp; Development, Dr. Hari Sreenivasan, Head, Department of Petroleum Engineering, Dr. Swapnil DHaraskar, Dean, School of Energy Technology.
Such engagements reaffirm PDEU's strong commitment to industry-academia collaboration, policy-relevant research, and capacity building in the energy sector. We sincerely thank DGH for their time, insights, and continued support toward strengthening India's energy ecosystem.

Distinguished Visit from Directorate General of Hydrocarbons under MoPNG (DGH) at PDEU

Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship &amp; Minister of State, Ministry of Education Shri Jayant Chaudhary launched a Centre of Excellence (CoE) &ndash; jointly set up by National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU) &ndash; at Gandhinagar in Gujarat.&nbsp;
Shri Jayant Chaudhary further emphasized the need for universities across India to realign with the evolving demands of industry and actively skill students in response. &ldquo;We must empower our universities to become engines of innovation&mdash;not just to serve market needs, but to advance national growth. When universities lead innovation, it is driven by purpose&mdash;for the benefit of society and the nation at large.&rdquo;
The Centre will be equipped with advanced manufacturing capabilities labs to provide specialised training. The centre will offer over 40 online and hybrid courses in sectors such as semiconductors manufacturing, renewable and non-renewables energy, digital edge, smart manufacturing, and more.
A Memorandum of Association (MoA) was signed earlier this month between NSDC and PDEU in this regard. These courses will cater to students from ITI, Diploma, undergraduate, and postgraduate programs. The curriculum is designed to equip learners from Tier-1, Tier-2 and Tier-3 institutes with hands-on experience in niche manufacturing skill sets across critical sectors, including energy, health, water and food.
The partnership between NSDC and PDEU marks a transformative step towards building a future-ready workforce, which is crucial for India&rsquo;s economic growth and technological leadership. It will play a vital role in Make-in-India Readiness movement and accelerate the progress of Aatmanirbhar Bharat.

Distinguished National Recognition for Academic Leadership&nbsp; School of Technology (SoT), PDEU Congratulates Prof. Anirbid Sircar The School of Technology (SoT), Pandit Deendayal Energy University &nbsp;is pleased to share that Prof. Anirbid Sircar, Director, SoT, has accepted the invitation (dated 2 January 2026) to join the Technical Committee of HRAS 2025 as an Invited Academic Expert. The Directorate General of Hydrocarbons (DGH) has undertaken a nationwide Hydrocarbon Resource Assessment Study (HRAS 2025) covering all 26 sedimentary basins of India, encompassing both onshore and offshore regions. The study comprises two major components: 1. Assessment of conventional hydrocarbon resources (oil and gas) 2. Assessment of unconventional hydrocarbon resources, including coal seam gas and gas hydrates Scheduled for completion by November 2027, this landmark initiative will play a crucial role in strengthening India&rsquo;s energy security and resource planning. Prof. Sircar&rsquo;s extensive expertise in Earth Sciences will be of immense value throughout the course of the study. DGH will seek his guidance through periodic technical reviews, likely once every three months, to ensure scientific rigor and strategic insight. We congratulate Prof. Sircar on this prestigious national responsibility and take pride in SoT, PDEU&rsquo;s continued contribution to impactful, nation-building research.

SoM Ranked 18th by Outlook

The Rotaract Club, under the Social and Cultural Committee of PDEU, organized a First Aid Workshop on March 17, 2025, equipping students with essential life-saving skills. Participants gained hands-on experience in CPR, wound care, fracture management, and emergency response techniques, enhancing their ability to act swiftly in critical situations. This initiative fostered confidence, preparedness, and a safer student community. The workshop&rsquo;s impact was recognized as it was featured in Divya Bhaskar, Gandhinagar today, highlighting its significance in promoting emergency readiness.
