<p>The Rotaract Club, under the Social and Cultural Committee of PDEU, organized a First Aid Workshop on March 17, 2025, equipping students with essential life-saving skills. Participants gained hands-on experience in CPR, wound care, fracture management, and emergency response techniques, enhancing their ability to act swiftly in critical situations. This initiative fostered confidence, preparedness, and a safer student community. The workshop&rsquo;s impact was recognized as it was featured in Divya Bhaskar, Gandhinagar today, highlighting its significance in promoting emergency readiness.</p>

<p>NSS PDEU had organized a Blood Donation Camp in the campus on 7th February 2025 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.&nbsp;</p>
<p>The students turned out in huge numbers for the donation as well as faculties and staff.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU), Gandhinagar has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with INS Valsura, Jamnagar on 16th Januray 2025.</p>
<p>The MoU is aimed at collaborating on Training, Projects &amp; Skill Development in areas like AI, Big Data, Cyber Security, and more.</p>

<p>As part of India Semiconductor Mission (ISM), Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU) on Wednesday received the Semiconductor ATMP Training Facility, which is the first fab or fabrication unit of its kind in Gujarat so far. ATMP stands for assembly, Testing, Marketing, and Packaging of semiconductors.</p>
<p>Experts said it is a joint initiative of PDEU, the department of science and technology of the state government, Micron Technology, and the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and will provide the required human resources for the upcoming semiconductor plants and design labs in Gujarat.</p>
<p>Prof. S. Sundar Manoharan, Director General of PDEU, said this joint initiative intends to provide industry-focused hands-on training in the semiconductor sector and will train more than 1000 personnel over 5 years.</p>
<p>"These experts will be certified by all the stakeholders under the Skill India Mission," he said.</p>

<p>The facility was inaugurated by Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel in the presence of senior representatives from all stakeholders. Experts from PDEU said the three machines are provided and installed by Micron Technology, which will give training on the entire process from chip dicing to training.</p>

State gets first Semiconductor ATMP Training Facility

<p>The three day PDEU Youth Parliament 2025, held from Jan 17 - 19, witnessed solid exchange of ideas as young delegates deliberated on national and global issues. The closing ceremony attended by Dr. Ajay Umat, Group Editor, Ahmedabad Mirror and NavGujarat Samay, marked the successful conclusion of the parliament. Earlier, Jamnagar (North) MLA Rivaba Jadeja and Gandhinagar (North) MLA Rita Patel had inspired delegates by their presence.</p>

<p>Col. Dr. Rakesh Kumar Shrivastav, Registrar - PDEU, was invited to talk on the occasion of National Army Day on DD News Gujarati. He spoke on the how this day, 15th January came to be known as the Indian Army Day and what was the significance of this day back in 1949. He also spoke about his journey in the Indian Army and how he belonged to the army family right from his childhood.</p>

<p>The rankings for 2023-24 under the Gujarat State Institutional Ranking Framework (GSIRF) were announced on 5th Dec, 2024. The top 16 institutes were felicitated by state higher and technical education minister Rushikesh Patel along with senior education department officials. Four universities &mdash; Gujarat University, Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU), Nirma University, and CEPT University &mdash; received a five-star plus rating, whereas 13 universities received a five-star rating in the exercise by the Knowledge Consortium of Gujarat (KCG) and the Indian Centre for Academic Rankings &amp; Excellence (ICARE).</p>
