Punit Jain is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics, School of Technology at PDEU. He completed his bachelor's degree in B.Sc (H) Mathematics from the University of Delhi in 2013. After that, he cleared the JAM exam with AIR 137 and went to IIT Kharagpur where he first completed his Master's degree in M.Sc Mathematics. He has completed Ph.D. from the Department of Mathematics, IIT Kharagpur in Dec 2021. In terms of Research work, he has published 6 papers in high-quality peer-review international journals. He worked as a guest faculty in the Department of Mathematics at NIT Kurukshetra for a semester. He joined PDEU on 19th Sept 2022.

Hydraulics, Open Channel Turbulent Flow, Sediment Transport, Mathematical Modeling of sediment transport, Semi-Analysis Method (Homotopy Analysis Method, Homotopy Peterbution Method), and Numerical Methods for solving differential equations arising in the mathematical modeling of turbulent flow.
