The industry relevance and demand for professionals skilled in VLSI Design are substantial. M.Tech. in VLSI Design Program at PDEU will enrich the students with the expertise and skills needed to navigate the semiconductor technology. As currently there is shortage of the trained manpower in the field of VLSI, the program aims at providing the skilled and trained individuals to the VLSI industry. The PG programme in “VLSI Design” is in line with the Gujarat Semiconductor Policy, Government of Gujarat, and the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM), Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MEITY), Government of India (GoI).
At the end of the course, the Graduates of the Program will be able to:
• Understand the Fundamental concept of Semiconductor Devices and Modelling.
• Understand the design and analysis of Analog and Digital Circuits.
• Acquire knowledge of IC/Chip Fabrication and Packaging Process.
• Apply various concepts in designing Test-bench for verification.
• Explore Industry specific EDA tools such as Cadence, Xilinx, Proteus, MATLAB, etc.
• Showcase the learning and knowledge through Projects & Experiments.
To support the significant demand of VLSI engineers in current market, the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering started a two-year PG Program as M.Tech in VLSI Design. This program aims to provide hands on curriculum for application in research, innovation and engineering domains/ cutting -edge effective learning.
